About The Artist
Created by artist Jade Perez, Moody Misfits is a collection of one-of-a-kind art dolls and strange little characters, made for collectors who love expressive faces, odd charm and pieces with real personality. The style ranges from slightly gothic to fully spooky, with some pieces leaning into horror and gore.
These are not meant to feel cute, trendy or mass-produced. Each Misfit is designed to feel like a character, something you’d find in an old story, a dusty cabinet or a place you weren’t supposed to look.
Every Misfit begins with the face. Jade sculpts each one by hand, then builds the doll around it until the character feels complete. Some look quiet, some look intense and some feel like they’ve been waiting for years to be found.
Jade works with both baked and air-dry clays, depending on the character and the type of piece being built. Some Misfits are full art dolls with soft bodies, while others are more sculptural, like strange little statues. No matter the form, each piece is made slowly and intentionally, with the goal of creating a character that feels real.
